About the Initiative

Aligned with the objectives of “Make in India” campaign, Kala Swarg is an initiative of DAKSH foundation which aims to create a single platform to promote all the skilled artisans of India. Within this initiative, the foundation adopts various artisan families and exhibits their work at fair trade prices during Daksh Mela, which is organized yearly. Thus, providing these artisans a strong market access.Helping artisans from marginalized communities to earn their livelihoods using a variety of avenues is one of the core mandates of KALA SWARG program by DAKSH.

Master Craftsmen

To preserve our ancient skills and knowledge of producing artisanal products we promote, exhibits the work of master craftsmen at fair trade prices during Daksh Mela.

Child Artisans

Artisans are also invited to come and train our children under another creative micro entrepreneurial project “Khelega Bachpan Padhega Bachpan”.
